Billy Madison
This movie was all about a dumb adult son of a major hotel chain owner who wants to keep the hotel business out of bad hands so he challenges his father and goes back to retake his schooling from first grade all the way through college spending two weeks in each class. Billy meets many unique tasks and challenges in his path to make sure the family business does not fall into bad hands.
Billy goes through experiences of happiness and being accepted and times where no one likes him and he has to work harder than ever and believe in himself to achieve his goal. Before all of this Billy got drunk all day and lite dog poop on fire in front of the front door of people's houses; he was a person who never took life seriously. Upon the decision for the family hotel company to be handed to a bad coworker Billy learned quickly through his weeks of schooling that life is full of hard work and not laying by a pool drinking beer. Billy goes through the want to quit and give up, devote time to studying and work, as well as trying to fit in and make friends.
By the end of the movie, Billy had to overcome the feeling to quit and give up when his elementary school principle was black-mailed and lied about Billy cheating his way through. The final test was Billy passing college and taking on the man who was trying to steal the company in a academic decathlon. The two had to act, play and instrument, run track and lastly be asked a question from a panel of questions. Billy answered his question wrong, but asked his competitor to explain business ethics. The competitor then could not answer and due to points, Billy won and was able to keep the company, and then hand it off at his graduation to his best friend within the company.
Billy fought through experiences of pressure and difficult work. The average college student goes through the same problems but to a lesser degree than this comedic movie. The average college student has to overcome the want to give up, study hard, and fit in. The want to party and forget about school work is something Billy had to give up, and real college student have to do the same or at least balance their party life to be able to pass their classes and graduate.
That's The Goal!
