  1. WOW! This was so funny! Bitties! Ha! Anyway,it was interesting to see another student being so adament about being a great student, more so than a great socialite. Props to him! Showing that such students can act as resources for students like... the kid with the hat... shows that how in college, first-years will not just be talked at by adults. Students (perhaps their friends or even OLs) can be the bridge between students who are unaccustomed to a collegiate work ethic and an overall successful college experience. The specific resources, besides just the friend with the orange hair, were presented really well too. The video itself is also really well-done! This video kind of displays the possible end results of the efforts of Orientation Leaders. While we may reach some students, we won't reach all of them. Even so, they'll all come to realize the awesomeness and resources of Rutgers that will help them if they ever need it. =)

  2. Yesssss! This was hilarious. G-Pa world. This would be a good resource for students due to the fact that it's funny and entertaining--yet very resourceful. You guys did a great job. The orange-haired kid is super informative and gives tough love. Many students think they can skate by their first year because they don't realize how difficult college can be. As OL's, we need to give them first hand advice as to how this cannot happen. I'm super impressed, and I think this is one of the best videos. Kudos :)

  3. That was fantastic!! Not only was it hysterical, but it brought up very serious points that not only first-year students, but all students can learn from. The first and most pressing one was the idea of peer-pressure. The student on the right was trying to talk down and dismiss the importance of studying for finals, and instead, encouraged the guy on the left to go out. However, the student on the left held his ground and that is something that many students should learn. There are going to be a lot of distractions that are presented, and it is important that students are able to focus on the important things - in this case, it was studying. That actually correlates to another important aspect of the video, which was importance of balancing school life and social life. Many first-year students have a hard time knowing how to spend their time. If students get caught up in the social side of college, they're going to neglect their studies and their GPA will suffer. However, if they focus only on academics, they will feel stressed and not have an outlet. The "perfect medium" as stated in the video is something that first-years MUST find to be successful in college and I'm really happy it was brought up. Finally, I think you all did an incredible job squeezing in the many resources students have on campus - RA's, learning centers, and alcohol and drug resistance programs. The video was funny, informative, and I think students will be able to take SO much from it. WELL DONE!
